In the 70th match of the 16th season of IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had to face defeat against Gujarat Titans. Gujarat won the match by six wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first. RCB scored 197 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Gujarat scored 198 runs for four wickets in 19.1 overs.
After this defeat, RCB team got out of IPL. Mumbai Indians got a place in the playoffs. In this match, Shubman Gill played an unbeaten inning of 104 runs in 52 balls. The first two balls of the 19th were no balls and wides.
Gill broke the hearts of the entire RCB team including Virat Kohli by hitting a six in the free hit ball. On the other hand, there is happiness in Mumbai Indians and their fans after Gujarat's victory.
