Elena Rybakina won the women's singles title of Italian Open tennis tournament. Wimbledon champion Rybakina won the title after Ukraine's Anhelina Kalinina retired early in the second set with a left thigh injury.
Rybakina was leading 6-4, 1-0 when Kalinina decided to withdraw from the match due to injury. Rybakina's ranking will also increase and will be included in the top 4.
This is his second singles title of the year and fifth of his career. The runner-up at the Australian Open became the first woman to win two WTA 1000 titles this year. Earlier, he had won the title in Indian Wells.
